Rules of Operation
The following rules of operation are to be followed by all participants.

You must be 18 years of age or older.

You must have a valid driver’s license in your possession at all times during the rental period.

You must be wearing a properly fitted and secured DOT or SNELL certified helmet at all times during the operation of the Moped.

While riding a Moped, you must have your visor down at all times or wear DOT approved eye protection.

Before using a Moped, you must inspect the Moped for damage (see below for further details). You must not ride if there is noticeable damage and must report such damage to Roamer Rides immediately.

You must conduct a Pre-Ride Safety Check before each use of a Moped. The Pre-Ride Safety Check shall include inspecting the Moped for the following: (i) body damage; (ii) low tire pressure; (iii) missing Safety Helmets; (iv) broken lights/signals, mirrors; (v) properly functioning brakes; (vi) trueness of the wheels; (vii) good condition of the frame; (viii) sufficient battery charge power; and (ix) any sign of damage, unusual or excessive wear, or other open and obvious mechanical problem/maintenance need. If the Moped has signs of any damage, Participant must not use the Moped and instead must contact Roamer Rides immediately.

You may not push or tow any other vehicle or object using the Moped.

You may not operate or drive the Moped between lanes of traffic, or between traffic and parked vehicles, to pass other moving vehicles (aka: “lane-splitting”).

You may not operate or drive the Moped in bicycle lanes or trails, sidewalks, pedestrian walkways, hiking trails, or recreational trails.

You may not operate or drive the Moped to race, compete or perform tricks.

You may not operate or drive the Moped negligently or in an abusive or harassing manner.

You may not operate or drive the Moped in any areas not allowed by federal, state or local law or for any use outside the scope of a Moped’s intended purpose.

You may not operate or drive the Moped on or within any Prohibited Area at any time, including highways, freeways, or expressways. Due to the speed cap of the Moped, any streets that have a speed limit over 40 mph are off limits (driving slowly in the right lane is still a violation of these Rules of Operation if the speed limit is above 40).

Participant may not operate the Moped while carrying or holding a briefcase, backpack, bag, or other item that can alter, balance, or impair safe operation of the Moped.

You must not place heavy objects on the handlebars of the Moped, such as heavy backpacks or bags.

Except for the lawful use of a GPS navigating feature that does not impede the safe operation of the Moped, while operating a Moped, you must not use any cellular telephone, text messaging device, portable music player, earphones, headphones, or other device that may distract Participant from operating the Moped safely.

You must not operate a Moped while under the influence of any alcohol, drugs, medication, or other substance that may impair your ability to operate a Moped safely.

You may not carry any passengers on a Moped.

Your rental may be ended at any time by Roamer Rides.

The Moped must be parked in an upright position using the kickstand, perpendicular to the curb with the Moped’s back wheel adjacent to the curb. The Moped cannot be parked on unauthorized private property, in a locked area, or in any other unapproved non-public space. You should not park the Moped in heavily trafficked areas if the Moped is in danger of being knocked down.

When parked, remove the key and appropriately lock the Moped in order to avoid theft.

All applicable laws in the relevant jurisdiction (including, without limitation, those applicable to traffic, pedestrians, parking, and electric Mopeds) must be obeyed, including any helmet and eye protection laws.

You must report any damaged or malfunctioning Mopeds to Roamer Rides within one (1) hour of the malfunction.
Return Policy

You must return the Moped to the location at which it was originally picked up.

If the Moped is not returned by the designated time, an additional fee will be charged at the standard 1-day rate.
Cancellation Policy
-
A refund will not be given if a cancellation is made on or within 72 hours of the scheduled pickup time.
