Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I explore on my moped?

Roamer Rides mopeds offer a fun and exciting way to explore Southern California’s diverse areas. Due to the speed of the moped, it is best to stay on surface streets, avoiding roads that have a speed limit over 40 mph. Driving on highways, freeways, and expressways is prohibited.

What is the range of my moped?

Your moped has an average range of 35 miles depending on several factors including how fast you ride, whether you are driving on steep inclines, and the weight of the rider. It is important to be mindful of your battery life at all times, being sure to have enough power to return your moped to the same location you picked it up.

Where do I find my moped key for self-pickup?

For self-pickup, your key will be located in a lockbox attached to your moped. The combination to the lockbox will be the last 4-digits of the phone number provided at booking.

Where do I find my helmet for self-pickup?

Your helmet can be found under the seat of your moped. To open the seat, simply insert your key into the moped ignition keyhole and turn the key counter clockwise. Be sure that you are not seated on the moped, otherwise it will not open. If there are multiple helmets inside your moped, be sure to select the one that best fits your head size.

What should I do if my moped runs out of batteries?

It is important to always be mindful of the battery life of your moped and to ensure that you have enough power to return your moped to the pickup/return location. If you find yourself in a situation where you have run out of battery power or will run out soon, first ensure the safety of yourself and others. If possible, move the moped to a safe location and properly lock it. Then contact Roamer Rides for assistance by phone at +1 310-853-3284 or by email at Info@RoamerRides.com.
